More information
“Please don’t call me ‘my lady’; call me Rose.” Inspired by Lady Rose, the niece and goddaughter of the Dowager Countess Violet Crawley, Pretty Lady Rose is the second in a collection of garden roses named after characters from the television series Downton Abbey. The cultivar’s designation references the character. Large, old-fashioned, dark pink, English-style, fully double blooms evoke the period depicted in the series. The non-burning color is complemented by a sweet fragrance with peony and spice notes. Blooms are set against healthy, bright, glossy, medium-green foliage. With a compact habit, this variety suits small garden spaces and performs well in pots. The flowers of Pretty Lady Rose are carried at a height convenient for viewing and for enjoying their scent.
