More information
Prestige de Lyon does not bloom as profusely as many hybrid tea roses, and the bush is relatively sparse. Flower form progresses from traditional buds to fully open blooms. The first flush is salmon-pink; in autumn the color is a deeper pink, with paler, creamy‑pink outer petals and an orange tone in the center. The open bloom often shows a twisted center, reminiscent of magnolia. The bush is almost thornless, with large, dark green foliage noted for disease resistance. Young growth is crimson. Suitable for mixed plantings or for mass plantings.
The flowers are pure pink, large, and double, with 26–40 petals, and carry fragrance. Shoots are nearly thornless; the foliage is matte, large, and dark green. It blooms abundantly throughout summer. The bush is vigorous, upright, and resistant to diseases.
