More information
This is not a pink sport of the well-known variety Robusta, but a seedling of it. Pink Robusta bears soft pink, semi-marginal flowers with a white center spot and pale stamens. The petals are large and wavy, produced in quantity in clusters of 3-7 (sometimes more or fewer), with flowering continuing almost without pause until frost. Pink Robusta is densely clothed; the foliage is dark, glossy, and disease-resistant; the shrub has fewer prickles than the original variety. Its hardiness supports widespread use in Canada, Scandinavia, and central Europe. It is a tall shrub, suitable for planting in public parks and large spaces. In full bloom, the shrub is prominent from a long distance.
This rose closely resembles its ancestor Robusta. Warm pink flowers appear in large, neat clusters on stiff, upright shoots. They are semi-flowered, loose, fairly large, and slightly cupped. In public parks or as a hedge, it is visible from afar. It blooms over a long period in summer and autumn and has a fragrance. The bush is stiff, strong-growing, of medium height. The foliage is large and dark green.
