More information
The flowers are deep pink. The color remains consistent under most weather conditions; in very hot sun it may shift to bluish-pink. In such cases, the affected blooms may be removed. The flowers are cup-shaped with inward-curving petals and measure no more than 5 cm in diameter. They carry a light musk scent with a hint of lemon. Inflorescences are numerous, forming closely spaced clusters whose flowers continue to open for many days. The variety blooms almost continuously for a prolonged period. The shrub is low, compact, and dense, reaching up to 1 m in height and 75 cm in width. Growth is vigorous but the plant performs poorly in cold locations. Foliage is dense and glossy. Under unfavorable conditions it is very susceptible to disease.
