More information
Pigalle 84 produces flowers in scarlet, orange, and yellow, with the proportion of colours shifting toward more scarlet and orange in hot weather. The pattern is bicolour: yellow at the centre with scarlet edges; at times the inner petals show an apricot or orange tone while the reverse remains yellow. The blooms are fairly double for a floribunda, and the clusters are modest, usually not more than 5–9 flowers. They are slow to fade and retain colour well in the garden and as cut flowers. Foliage is bright green and matte.
Offered by a limited number of nurseries, Pigalle bears creamy yellow blooms with orange and orange‑red tones. The flowers are double for a floribunda, with about 40 petals, and are produced in large, candelabra‑like clusters on long, strong stems suitable for cutting. Fragrance is minimal. Suitable for beds and borders or for hedging. The shrub is tall, well‑branched, and above average in height. Foliage is stiff, bright green, and glossy.
