Picasso rose forms a compact, medium-sized shrub. Rounded crimson-red buds open into bright velvety red flowers with a silvery reverse on the petals and a white eye, borne in clusters of 10–25; the blooms lighten to pink with age. The flowers are semi-double, 4–7 cm across, and have a persistent fragrance. Flowering is abundant and prolonged. The rose is highly heat-resistant and prefers bright sunlight.
