More information
In the US, this vigorous hybrid tea rose is marketed as Glowing Peace, a name that indicates its kinship to Peace. Philippe Noiret exhibits brighter coloration and keeps a dense pink edge even after the petals have faded. The blooms develop from elegant, glass-shaped buds with a crimson yellow exterior. When the flowers open, dark yellow stamens are visible in the center. Flowers appear singly or in clusters of up to 5 on long, strong shoots well suited for cutting. The foliage is large, dark green, and somewhat susceptible to disease. The variety rapidly produces successive flower-bearing shoots, so flowering is almost continuous. The variety received the highest American AARS award in 2001 and is very popular in the USA.
