‘Peter Beales’ is a shrub rose with crimson flowers and a golden‑yellow center. Blooms have about 5 petals, are single and flat in form, with an average diameter of about 7.5 cm. The fragrance is strong. It flowers prolifically in flushes throughout the growing season. The plant forms a medium, rounded shrub with dark green, dense foliage, reaching about 120 cm in height and 105 cm in width. It is suitable for use as a garden or shrub rose and is hardy in USDA zones 5b through 10b. The variety was bred by John Clements in the United States and introduced in the United States by Heirloom Roses, Inc. in 2000 under the name ‘Peter Beales’.
