More information

Pyostraya Fantasia is a Hybrid Tea rose cultivar from the Nikita Botanical Garden collection. It was obtained in 1977 in Ukraine by Zinaida Konstantinovna Klimenko and in the former USSR by K. I. Zykov. The cultivar is a sport of the rose ‘Kronenbourg’ (Kronenburg), derived through radiation‑induced mutation.

The flowers are very large, cupped, and very full, with up to about 70 petals. Petals are two‑coloured: deep crimson with white inserts; the reverse side is golden‑yellow to yellowish, with golden‑yellow stripes on the crimson surface. The variety is fragrant and produces repeated flushes of bloom throughout the season.

The plant has a compact, dense growth habit, with large, glossy, dark green foliage, and reaches up to about 100 cm in height.
