More information
This rambler rose produces clusters of small flowers that open purple and later fade to pale purple. The variety reaches 2.5–3 m in height. It is remontant, flowering until the first frosts; to promote repeat bloom, remove spent flowers. The variety received a silver medal in Baden-Baden in 2006. Sweet fragrance. Very resistant to diseases.
Bred in the UK by Bernhard F. Mehring of Eurosa in 2003. Parentage: Veilchenblau × Super Excelsa. The flowers are semi-double, about 3 cm in diameter, with a purple-magenta color. The fragrance is sweet, of medium intensity. The foliage shows strong disease resistance and a textured appearance. Thorns are small and sparse. Blooms early. Flowering is almost continuous—while the clusters from the first flush are finishing, the rose is already producing new shoots with buds.
