More information
Among roses with simple flowers, this cultivar is characterized by tall growth. Under favorable conditions the bush reaches a height that allows classifying Patricia Beucher as a climber, although in Central Russia it behaves more like a shrub. The cultivar was named in honor of Patricia Beucher, a French author of books and articles about roses.
The flowers are 5 cm in diameter, simple, dark pink with violet shades; in hot weather the color fades to cream. The fragrance is light. Blooms form in small clusters that develop into elongated, pyramidal inflorescences with 50 or more flowers. Flowering is repeat, from June to October. Bushes reach 150–200 cm, upright, with slightly drooping shoots. New young shoots are reddish-brown, matching one of the parents of this variety (Rosa chinensis ‘Mutabilis’).
