Pastella is a branching, compact floribunda with medium-sized blooms. Flowers are cup-shaped, creamy with a pink patina along the edges, and the intensity varies with the weather. Blooms are long-lasting with a spicy fragrance. Foliage is dense, luxuriant, light green. Flowers are borne in sprays of 3–8. The shrub reaches 60 cm in height and 40 cm in width.
