More information
The rose was introduced in 1965 in Germany. The breeder is Mathias Tantau, Jr (Mathias Tantau, jun.). It was developed from the hybrid tea ‘Prima Ballerina’ and the grandiflora ‘Montezuma’. The large, salmon-pink blooms are densely double, with petals forming a classic hybrid tea rosette. As the bud opens, the color shifts slightly from bright to a softer pink. Even when fully open, the bloom does not reveal the center. It flowers both singly and in clusters of 5–7 on strong, smooth stems. The bush is upright and tall, up to 150 cm, and slightly spreading, up to 60 cm. The foliage is large, green, and glossy.
