More information

Parade is a climbing rose suited to small gardens, with large blooms and a bush that remains moderate in height. Flowers are bright deep pink to cherry red, paler toward the petal edges, sometimes with a purple tinge at the center. The reverse of the petals is slightly paler and silvery. Blooms are cup-shaped, and the plant is dense enough that shoots often bend under their weight; this habit helps shed rain and exposes the interior. Flowers are borne singly or in clusters of up to 5. Foliage is abundant, dark green, and disease resistant. The bush is vigorous and floriferous.

Parade forms oval buds that open to deep pink, bright-cherry blooms with a soft sheen. The flowers are large, cup-shaped, composed of 33 petals, and fragrant. They appear in heavy clusters, and shoots bend under the weight. The variety is winter-hardy, with shiny dark green foliage, establishes quickly, and reaches 3–3.5 m in height. It shows high disease resistance and blooms profusely.
