More information
When the long, pointed buds of this rose open, they reveal brick red or scarlet flowers with a bluish-purple tinge at the base of the petals. The flowers are fragrant, large, semi-marginal, and borne in large clusters against leathery, olive-green, glossy foliage on an upright bush about 1 m tall. The flowers are resistant to rain and dew. Although many floribundas share this colouring, the variety continues to be offered alongside newer varieties. Also grown as a trunk (standard) form.
