Flowers with bicolor petals: inner surfaces velvety dark red, outer surfaces silver-white, with a strong fragrance. At the half-open stage the bud is goblet-shaped; when fully open it becomes an open, calyx-shaped bloom. Flowers are borne in dense clusters. The bush is upright, though shoots may droop under the weight of the buds. Foliage is medium green and matte.
