Red, classic buds, semi-open with a high-centered form, borne mostly singly on stems. Buds average 35–40 petals; petals are firm, rounded, and slightly recurved. Foliage is medium-sized, dark green, composed of 5 leaflets. Thorns are medium, straight, and on young shoots show a reddish tint. The red bud color scarcely fades. The variety is susceptible to powdery mildew.
