More information
Octavia Hill flowers are densely margined, sometimes flattened. They are pale creamy pink, with a darker spot at the base of the petals that gives the whole bloom a pink cast. Flowers appear in small clusters, usually 3–5 per cluster, on long shoots. The foliage is dark, disease-resistant, glossy; the bush is branched. The variety maintains bloom until late autumn, especially if spent flowers are removed.
Pure pink flowers consist of 75 petals. The fragrance is medium, reminiscent of damask roses. The flowers appear in small sprays. They reach 8 cm in diameter, are neatly shaped, flattened. The foliage is dark green, the bush is compact, medium-sized. The variety is vigorous but requires removal of spent flowers to encourage re-blooming.
