This group originated from crossing Bengal... roses with Damask or Kazanlak roses more than 100 years ago. In most varieties of this group, flowers are large, double, with a strong pink fragrance. Growth is erect, strong. Leaves are dark green, matte, fairly dense. With summer pruning, the varieties are remontant. Winter hardiness is much higher than Tea...
Pink flowers, solitary or 2–4 per peduncle, cup-shaped, densely double (78–92 petals), fragrant, large (8–12 cm in diameter). Flowers fade in the sun. Flowering begins in the third ten-day period of June. Fruits set well. Flower stalks are long, strong, straight. Bush height 130–150 cm. Leaves large, dark green. In rainy years, the variety is very strongly affected by powdery mildew in August.
