More information

‘Nelson's Pride’ (registration name ‘Beacake’) is a shrub rose bred by Amanda Beales in the United Kingdom and introduced there by Peter Beales Roses in 2006. It belongs to the shrub class and is listed by ARS as a white, near white or white blend shrub, with cream-colored blooms. Flowers have no to mild fragrance, an average diameter of about 12 cm, and are medium-sized, double with approximately 17–25 petals, usually borne singly. It flowers continuously throughout the season. The plant is short and bushy, with medium, semi-glossy dark green foliage, and can reach up to about 90 cm in height. It is suitable for USDA zones 6b through 9b and may be used in beds and borders, containers, as a cut flower, and in gardens, hedges, or landscapes. Removing spent blooms encourages repeat flowering, and standard spring pruning practices are recommended.
