More information

Known as a moss rose due to the moss-like pubescence on the sepals. The flowers are heavily mossed, delicate pink, with a fragrance. It blooms for several weeks in summer. To encourage more abundant flowering the following year, stems are shortened by one-third. The shrub reaches 1.5 metres in height. Prickly stems bear olive-green leaves.
