Rosa multiflora var. watsoniana Matsumura is a species rose with light pink to white, small single blooms with 4 to 8 petals. The plant has an arching, bushy and well-branched habit, with matte, variegated foliage composed of 5 to 7 leaflets. It reaches a height of about 90 to 275 cm. It is suitable for USDA zones 6b through 9b. The rose was introduced in Australia by Hawter’s Nurseries in 1909 under the name R. watsoniana and originates from Japan. The US Department of Agriculture GRIN Taxonomy classifies it as a form of Rosa multiflora.
