More information

In the rose garden L'Hay-les-Roses, an avenue of Mrs. F.W. Flight ramblers, paired with the variety Paul's Scarlet Climber, covers five-metre metal cones. Individual flowers open dark pink and quickly fade to soft pink with a white centre, while the overall appearance remains a pure, bright, soft pink tone. Blooms are borne in large clusters of 30–50, often covering the shrub so densely during flowering that the leaves are not visible. Foliage is pale green; shoots are thick and strong. Bloom is single (once-blooming). Easy and quick to root from cuttings.

Flowers pink with a white centre, strongly fading; cup-shaped, open, medium-sized (4–5 cm), double (25–30 petals), odourless, in large inflorescences of up to 30, on sturdy pedicels. Leaves light green. Spines frequent. Shrubs up to 3 m tall, dense. Flowering abundant, single, for 35 days. Winter-resistant. Affected by powdery mildew. For vertical landscaping, groups.
