More information
Moonstone displays variable coloration. It is listed as white, but white-pink is more precise: petals are white on the underside and pink inside, usually with dark pink edges. As blooms age they become pearly pink, and only in very hot weather do they fade to completely white. Flowers open from thick buds and are densely waved. Suitable for cut flowers. Blooms usually appear singly, but sometimes in small clusters on long, sturdy shoots. Flowering is very abundant, in several waves. The foliage is matte, large, and disease resistant, and the bush is upright. The variety is winter-hardy but performs better in dry weather, as the long petals are damaged by rain.
