This rose is not connected to an American state; it is named in honour of the German fashion designer Claude Montana. It is a disease-resistant red floribunda with vigorous growth. The flowers are almost flat and slightly dishevelled. The colour is bright and non-burning, and they appear in large, dense clusters (brushes) of 5-25 pcs. It is suitable for public parks and other mass plantings, and it is popular in Germany. The foliage is large, dense, and dark, with bronzed young growth. The flowers are tolerant of rain, and the variety performs well even in poor soils. It flowers abundantly.
