The variety was bred by Kordes nursery in Germany in 1993.
This representative of a family of tea-hybrid roses is included in the leading group of cut roses and belongs to the Super Premium class. The bush can reach one metre and more. The flower is white, somewhat creamy, with a mint-greenish tinge inside the bud, and has pronounced wavy edges. Rose Mondiale has a large elongated goblet, accompanied by abundant foliage. The petals are corrugated. It has a delicate, barely detectable odour. Stem height usually reaches 60–90 cm; the bud diameter and height are 8 (can reach 11 cm) and 6 (7) cm respectively. The rose has few thorns. At maturity the buds are large and double, each with up to 40 petals. The leaves are strong and large, dark green in colour. The bush is upright, dense, medium-sized, with thick, shiny foliage.
