More information

The shrub of this rose is low, branched, and upright, about 60cm tall, suitable for small gardens, for bedding, or for secluded corners of larger gardens. The flowers are rosette-shaped and rich yellow. The blooms are abundant, long-lasting, and have a tea-rose fragrance.

Although it can reach 2m in hot climates, Molineux is usually more compact and flowers more profusely than early yellow Austin roses such as Graham Thomas. The blooms are golden yellow with deep apricot tones, occasionally with a dark pink spot in the center, and the shrub is densely bushy. They open as slightly cup-shaped rosettes, then fade to lemon-yellow with a creamy edge; the color varies. Inflorescences appear in clusters of 3-9. The shrub shows disease resistance. The foliage is dark green, with few thorns. It performs in both cold and hot climates and blooms even during the hottest summer months.
