More information
Medium-sized, violet-pink, velvety flowers with moderately wavy petals (17–25) carry a strong fragrance. They appear singly, but more often in clusters of 3–5 on strong shoots, and open fully, revealing yellow stamens. An abundant first flush of blooms is followed by moderate repeat waves, with another abundant flush often occurring in autumn. The bush is powerful, dense, and spiny, covered with a large number of oblong, light green, wrinkled leaves. Suitable for single plantings, as well as for mixed plantings or for use as a hedge. The variety shows fairly good resistance to severe frosts, diseases, and to periods without regular watering.
