More information
Mme Gregoire Staechelin is a nostalgic-style pleinthian rose. It blooms once; at peak flowering it produces abundant blooms.
Large semi-double flowers (15–20 petals) are saucer-shaped, up to 12 cm, with wavy edges; petal margins are pastel pink, with a darker inner portion. The flowers are fragrant, reveal yellow stamens as they open, and nod under their own weight.
Foliage is large, dark green, slightly glossy, and shows high disease resistance.
Flowering is most profuse in full sun, but the plant also tolerates semi-shade. It prefers very nutrient-rich, weakly lime soil, pH 4.5–8; growth is strong and lush, enabling rapid coverage of large surfaces.
