Miss Edith Cavell is a dark red polyantha rose with scarlet blooms and crimson shading. Flowers are mildly fragrant and have a semi-double to double, cluster-flowering, globular form. It blooms in flushes throughout the growing season. The foliage is glossy and leathery. Plants reach about 60 cm in height. It is suitable for USDA hardiness zones 6b through 9b and is tolerant of shade. The variety was discovered by Gerrit De Ruiter in the Netherlands in 1914 and is a sport of Orléans Rose.
