Deep pink Hybrid Tea with strong fragrance.  Blooms are large, 6″, borne mostly on single stems, high-centered form, fully double.  Very good rebloom.  Large buds.  Bushy, very disease resistant.

USDA zone 7b and warmer.  4-6′.  Can be used for beds and borders, cut flowers.  Vigorous.  Very disease resistant.

Bred by Marie-Louise Meilland in France 1965.  Introduced in the UK by Wheatcroft as ‘Maria Callas’. Maria Callas was an American-born prima donna famed for her lyric soprano and fiery temperament
