More information
A modern rose often compared with Margaret Merill. Memoire is a cross between a hybrid tea and a floribunda: its white blooms are large and usually borne in clusters. In cold weather the center shows a pink tint; in hot climates a creamy tint appears instead. The plant is densely branched, with long stems that make the blooms suitable for cutting. It has shiny dark green foliage. Rain damages the flowers, so Memoire performs better in dry weather, yet it is popular worldwide. Half-open flowers have a pronounced fragrance.
