More information
Flowers of Meli-Melo display blood-red coloration with creamy yellow streaks and stripes at opening, later fading to dark pink with white. The colouring is very uneven: some blooms are almost entirely red, while others are mostly yellow. They appear in clusters of 3–7 flowers on a fairly strong bush. Outside France it is less widely grown; in France it is popular as a garden rose. The variety is very fragrant and fairly disease resistant. Rain spoils the flowers, so dry weather preserves their appearance better.
