Hybrid Rubiginosa rose with deep pink to crimson, medium-sized blooms that are single to semi-double and borne in clusters. The flowers have a moderate fragrance and bloom once in spring or summer. The plant has a bushy, climbing growth habit with medium, dark green, fragrant foliage. It reaches about 245 to 305 cm in height and about 215 cm in width. Suitable for USDA zones 6b to 9b. Bred by Lord Penzance in the United Kingdom in 1894 and introduced in Australia by George Brunning - St. Kilda Nurseries in 1896 under the name 'Meg Merrilies'.
