Series Holiday Island Roses (Island Series)
The Holiday Island Roses series from Interplant Roses B.V. (Netherlands) comprises compact hybrid tea roses with a wide range of colours and large flowers, blooming continuously and suitable for container cultivation.
Breeding since the 1990s has focused on maintaining compact bush size while increasing flower number and diameter and extending the flowering period. Suitable for small gardens with limited space. The series name refers to a sunny island resort and emphasizes varied colour and abundant bloom.

An example from this group. Large (10–12 cm) white flowers with cherry-red edges. Blooms last up to 14 days. The shrub is low (60–80 cm), compact, upright, and well clothed. Leaves are dark green and glossy. The variety is disease resistant and frost-hardy (Zone 6). Flowering occurs in waves during the season. Suitable for pot culture and for the foreground of a flower bed. Distinctive traits include low-maintenance care and winter hardiness. Glossy foliage can change colour from purple to dark green.
