A cut, large-flowered rose of red-brown color with a smoky (sometimes lilac) hue. The bud is dark red; the bloom is goblet-shaped. Petal edges darken as the flower opens; the bloom is double, with 30–35 petals, and a diameter of 10–11 cm. The foliage is green, semi-glossy. The bush reaches 120–140 cm in height and up to 90 cm in width. Grown for cutting. Supplied by Esmeralda Breeding and Biotechnology, Ecuador. The encyclopedia lists another variety with this name: Marcel Pagnol (MEIsoyris, Matilda), Meilland, France, 1994.
