Buds dense, slightly pointed, yellow-maple in color; they open slowly. Flowers yellow with pink edges, turning completely pinkish with age; diameter 8 cm at full opening. Inflorescences of 2–8, numerous; double , 25 petals; center yellow with a red rim; yellow anthers on short filaments; fragrance medium. Foliage dense, dark green, glossy. Spines sparse, slightly bent downward. Shrubs tall, upright, sparsely spreading, up to 150 cm high and 100 cm wide. Repeat flowering from June until frost. Winter hardiness and resistance to fungal diseases reported as good. Suitable for groups and single plantings.
