Flowering starts late; after onset, Martha’s Vineyard maintains abundant bloom. This low-growing landscape rose has a cushion habit, spreading more in width than height. Semi-double flowers open bright crimson and age to pink, with a central white spot, wavy petals, and dark yellow stamens. Borne in large clusters of 5–10. Petals shatter cleanly. Foliage is dark green and very disease-resistant. The shrub tolerates extreme low and high temperatures. Suitable for hedging—broad in habit. In hot climates it reaches 1.5 m.
