More information
An Austin rose; its shape and colouring are described as follows. The flower opens from a pointed bud and develops a semi-marginal form. Petals have a pink edge, with a cream or white base that frames a cluster of yellow stamens. On the pink portions, white streaks are present, and the reverse of the petals is lighter in colour than the upper surface. Petal coloration shows contrast between the pink-edged upper surface and the lighter underside. Flowers are produced singly or in small clusters on long shoots that rise above the foliage. As the bloom ages, the colour fades to almost white or to a very pale pink. During the main flush, flowers are displayed above the leaves on those extended stems. The foliage is fine-textured, glossy, and prone to black spotting. The bush has a branched, erect habit.
