More information
Flowers display a blend of peach and cream tones. Pale peripheral shades transition to a deeper, juicier peach at the center. Dense petals resist rain despite the delicate look. In very bright sun, the outer petals may fade. The outer petals arch and curl downward. Each bloom has 30 petals, holds its form for several days, and reaches 9 cm in diameter. Fragrance is light and cool. Blooms form small inflorescences of up to 5 per cluster, borne at the ends of long shoots, and do not droop. The shrub grows to 1.1 m tall and 75 cm wide, with a smooth, rounded crown, with flowers held above it. Prefers full sun. Young foliage emerges a rich purple. It quickly turns green with a bronze cast. In very hot, dry summers, powdery mildew may occur. Flowering is not very abundant.
