More information
Marie-Victorin is a winter-hardy shrub, introduced in 1998. The variety reaches 1,4 m in height and 1,25 m in width. It flowers abundantly over a long period and shows high disease resistance. Buds are deep peach, while open blooms are pale peach that fade to pink. Flowers are about 9 cm in diameter, semi-double, and are borne in clusters of 1-7. Among frost-resistant roses, this coloration is rarely encountered. Readily propagated from cuttings.
The petals are silvery pink, with edges and reverse of delicate yellow. The fragrance combines sweetness and lightness. Blooms have a symmetrical form. Buds are elongated, in the manner of a hybrid tea. They open to a symmetrical double flower. The bush is of medium height, adequately winter-hardy, with slight frost damage possible in severe winters. In the second half of summer, it may be susceptible to black spot.
