More information

Marie Cirie forms a branched bush; its width exceeds its height, and it blooms almost continuously throughout the season, so it is classified as a shrub or groundcover rose. Growth is spreading, with a broad, branching habit. The flowers have a distinctive form, with wavy petals and pointed tips. Cherry-pink buds, on opening, reveal pink outer petals and an apricot-colored center. The apricot tone then fades to cream, while the outer petals remain pink. This shift in shades is evident both at close range and in massed displays. Flowers arise in clusters of 5–15, and the foliage is large, glossy, and healthy. The plant is compact, suitable for the front or edge of borders as well as for informal landscape plantings.
