More information
This dark red floribunda is widely distributed in Europe. Mariandel flowers open from small, elongated buds. The blooms are semi-double, with wavy petals surrounding a brightly colored cluster of golden stamens. They retain color well and show resistance to rain and sun. Flowers appear in clusters of 3–7 on strong shoots and are suitable for cutting. Young foliage is bronze-red, later dark green, glossy, and very disease resistant. The bush is compact, branched, and vigorous. Blooms very abundantly.
Thick, compact bush up to 70 cm high and wide with leathery dark green foliage. Dark red flowers, opening without showing the midrib, appear in clusters. It blooms profusely and for a prolonged period. The color of flowers and leaves provides strong contrast. Prefers good soil and sun.
