More information

Semi-double flowers, white with a pink tint. Strong-growing, winter-hardy variety. Height 80–100 cm.

Although often classified as a miniature rose, Maria Mathilda is also regarded as a low floribunda or patio rose. Pink buds open to flowers that are initially pale pink and quickly fade to white. The flowers are semi-double, borne in clusters of 3–9. They are long-lasting as cut flowers and on the bush. The foliage is dark and glossy; the bush is upright. Growth is moderate, with high disease resistance and quick, abundant repeat bloom, resulting in minimal interruption of flowering. Louis Lens named the rose in honor of his wife; the variety is popular in Belgium and the Netherlands.
