The shrub carries double, magenta blooms with a hawthorn fragrance. Ornamental foliage. Carpet-forming habit. Height 40–50 cm. Width 150–200 cm. ADR 1995.
Suited for carpet plantings. It grows quickly and densely, shows disease resistance, and overwinters well. Standards (stem roses) of this variety have a dense, spherical crown.
Magic Meidiland is a Meilland landscape rose. Flowers are small and semi-double; blooming occurs in clusters of 3–10 and continues until the first frosts. Blooms are dark pink with a white eye at the center, golden stamens, and red buds. The foliage is small, dark, very glossy, and highly disease-resistant. Tolerates both heat and cold. The bush is spreading, cushion-shaped, and often wider than tall. Size varies with climate: in France it does not exceed 50 cm in height, while in hot regions of the USA or Australia it reaches 1 metre.
