John Clements bred this rose using Graham Thomas, a progenitor of many English roses. Louise Clements is in the same style, with a more compact bush reaching no more than 90-120cm in height. The bush is well-branched and shows disease resistance. The flowers are large and cup-shaped like those of Graham Thomas, but more double , with a shining copper hue. The fragrance is strong and fruity.
