More information
Lolita is characterized by its colouring. At all stages of opening—buds to full bloom—the flowers show defined features: once open they reveal stamens, and the petals are slightly wavy. The colour shifts from copper in the bud to soft peach, later to cream, with the outer petals developing pink edges. The reverse side is consistently darker. Flowers are borne singly on long shoots. The bush is tall, upright, and disease resistant.
Orange-red buds open into large terry flowers. From a distance the overall impression is orange-yellow, while at close range copper, apricot, and salmon-pink tones are evident. The flowers are fragrant, with a strong pink scent. Suitable for cutting. Young foliage is reddish, later turning light green. The bush is upright, about 80 cm tall and 50 cm wide.
