Buds goblet-shaped. Flowers brown–reddish–brick with a golden‑cream reverse; double, classic form; petals slightly wavy; flower diameter 10 cm. Faint fragrance. Foliage large, dark green.
Color varies strongly with light: more brown in bright sun, nearly scarlet in partial shade.
Originally a cut‑flower variety. In gardens, performance is variable. Subject to LMR. Zone 7b.
