More information
The Legend rose cultivar was bred by the Dutch company Interplant, which has worked for many years on new industrial rose varieties, and it belongs to the group of cut hybrid tea roses. The blooms are medium-sized, about 10 cm in diameter, carnation-like in form, with a broad, thick margin along the petal edges. On a creamy light base, each petal shows a strawberry‑cherry edging that is smoothly and vividly diffused along the rim. With age, the coloration becomes more saturated, shifting to creamy yellow with a bright crimson‑red edge. It blooms abundantly throughout summer, shows tolerance to rain, and has disease resistance above average; in unfavorable years, prophylactic treatments are recommended. The shrub reaches up to 1.5 m in height, and the foliage is dense, dark green, and semi‑glossy. In garden settings, characteristics include the unusual flower form and an extended flowering period.
