More information

This free-flowering musk hybrid can be grown as a climbing rose or as a large shrub. Red buds open to double, lilac-pink flowers 7–8 cm in diameter with tightly twisted petals. The blooms are saucer-shaped to flat, borne in large clusters, with a strong fragrance. It flowers in early summer and again in autumn. The foliage is bright green and glossy. Shoots droop under the weight of the flowers. As a climbing rose it reaches 3–5 m, or it forms a spreading shrub 160–180 cm tall. It tolerates partial shade, making it suitable for planting against a light but not sunny wall. Disease resistance is good.

Although the semi-double, fragrant flowers of this musk hybrid are not truly lavender, the pink coloration shows noticeable blue and pink tones. It blooms in large clusters. With light pruning, the variety can be grown as a shrub, or left unpruned to grow vertically on a wall or support.
